Description

Four elliptical seat pads, each decreasing in size, give the Corona Chair its distinctive, sculptural profile—balancing visual intrigue with ergonomic support. Designed by Danish designer Poul M. Volther in 1964, the chair reflects his commitment to functionalism and innovative material use. Influenced by the Bauhaus movement and trained as a cabinetmaker, Volther aimed to create furniture that was both practical and striking. The frame is crafted from spring steel with a swivel base, while the seat pads are molded from cold-cured foam and upholstered in fabric or leather.
